At Naturally Belize we work towards ensuring that we as individuals and as a small business take responsibility for our health and the environment. Our hope is to make a positive impact on our community and the world we live in, hence from the conception of our business in 2014 we have developed solutions about sustainability in the operation of our business.
We are passionate about sustainable development in our Country and believe that Natural Beauty and health goes hand in hand. Our effort for sustainable beauty is our way of showing respect for mother nature by choosing natural and organic ingredients.
Here are FIVE sustainable goals we have been able to embed in our small business:
1. Goal #3 Good health and wellness
In our eco-conscious collection, we make sure to use only the best natural and organic ingredients. We do not use ingredients that are or are suspected of being endocrine disrupting and/or carcinogenic. Naturally Belize creates the healthiest and purest beauty products on the market. We ensure good working conditions at our production facility, as well as in the rest of our business.
2. Goal #6 Clean water and sanitation
The ingredients in Naturally Belize Cosmetics products do not harm the groundwater – neither during the production phase nor during the use phase. In our production facility, we do not use products that affect our groundwater or deteriorate its quality.
3. Goal #9 Industry Innovation and Infrastructure
We are proud to be able to influence the standard in the beauty industry in a positive direction, as well as to inspire the industry to develop and further develop sustainable ingredients and technologies for our beauty products and the tourism industry.
4. Goal #12 Responsible Consumption and Production
Naturally Belize Cosmetics works to ensure sustainability in all processes, and we always take responsibility for the outside world. We try being a good example and, in our communication, we strive to influence our employees and customers to act more sustainably. With Naturally Belize Cosmetics, you get multifunctional products that are also economical in use, just as you can refill your products in our stores, which makes it possible to reduce the total consumption of beauty products.
5. Goal #15 Life on Land
The majority of our packaging is recycled and biodegradable. Our customers can refill their empty products in our stores, so that the use of new plastic is reduced. In addition, we also have waste sorting and return schemes so that waste does not land in nature.
